How To Build A Reptile Enclosure Stand

Now that you've added the perfect Kages custom reptile enclosure to your home, you're wondering where to put this beauty. Building your own stand is a great alternative to wobbly tables and only takes a few minutes to build. 

Supplies Needed

  • 4 x 3/4"x30" Black Nipple
  • 2 x 3/4" x 18" Black Nipple
  • 4 x 3/4" x 8" Black Nipple
  • 5 x3/4" x 4" Black Nipple
  • 16 x #12 x 1 1/4" Flat Head Phillips Wood screws
  • 8 x 3/4" Black Floor Flange
  • 2 x 3/4" Black Coupling
  • 6 x 3/4" Black Tee
  • 1 x 50" x 25" x 1.5" Butcher Black Countertop
  • Pipe Wrench
  • Drill
  • Phillips Bit for Drill
  • Tape Measure
  • 1/8" Drill Bit (Optional)

Steps: 

1) Start with 3 Tees and 2 8" nipples. You'll connect them in the following order (T, 8", T, 8", T). Tighten all of the pieces very well. You'll want to tighten everything as you go.

2) Repeat step 1.

3) Add flanges

4) Flip it over

5) Add 30" nipples then add flanges

6) Lay the butcher block on a flat surface and set your base on it. Measure to ensure its even on all 4 sides. 

7) Insert screws into flange to attach to butcher block. If pre-drilling: drill holes first then insert screws. I like to pre-dill whenever possible to prevent the wood from cracking and splitting.

8) Flip it over and you're done!
