Matte surface finish, both sides. A matte surface is great for reducing unnecessary stress on your reptile because they can not see their reflections.

Our 5’x2’x2’ reptile enclosures are equivalent roughly a volume of 138 gallons! The days of heavy glass 40 gallon breeders or that snake tank that's in your grandma's basement are long gone with our 5x2x2 custom PVC enclosure. The Kages™ 5x2x2 Premium PVC reptile enclosure weighs in at only 70 lbs. Our PVC reptile cages are significantly larger than a traditional glass forty gallon breeder.
First and foremost all Kages custom reptile enclosures are made out of animal safe materials. We use ½” extruded rigid PVC, we use this high quality material because of its sleek matte finish, heat retention qualities and not to mention its non porous so it's easy to clean up and doesn't promote bacteria growth like other reptile cages may.
VERSATILE
Kages custom enclosures can be used for a variety of species depending on their individual needs. All of our PVC enclosures have been designed to allow either minimal humidity retention or maximum depending on what the keepers goal is, if you are planning on doing a bioactive setup we suggest adding the additional side vents to promote more air flow. Our enclosures are built out of ½” extruded PVC for its superior heat retention qualities, this great quality will result in needing a lower wattage bulb in your reptile enclosure resulting in energy savings and keeping more of your hard earned money in your pocket.

All of our PVC reptile enclosures are shipped unassembled to minimize shipping costs and prevent damage in transit. We build and disassemble each individual reptile enclosure to ensure a perfect fit. Assembly is very easy and takes about 15 minutes and requires only a Phillips screwdriver, but I would recommend a drill to speed things up.

Each PVC enclosure is handmade; visible variations or imperfections may be present however they have no effect on the functionality of the enclosure.
All custom reptile cage sizes are approximate.
We do not recommend the use of ceramic heat emitters in our custom PVC reptile enclosures. There are much safer and much more natural options for your new PVC reptile cage such as;
Always use a thermostat and thermometer to monitor and regulate temperatures in your enclosure. Spyder Robotics makes excellent and very safe thermostats.
If you choose to seal the bottom seams of your enclosure, we recommend using aquarium safe silicone. (Aquarium Silicone on Amazon)

The build process took about two hours (I took a great amount of time just cleaning everything beforehand so cleanup once finished would be easier.) Overall, it was really easy, instructions were clear, but definitely have an extra set of hands with you during this process. I went from a cage that was a little under 4x2x2 and the extra foot doesn't seem like much until it's in front of you. WOW! It's so good looking, I love the ventilation design and the nice logo displayed on the back of the cage. I had a custom metal frame fabricated at a local welding shop, and MAN, this thing is solid! The doors are fantastic and slide well. The ONLY thing I found "meh" about the build process was the middle support bar on the front side behind the windows. The way in which it was installed was a little tricky to get perfect alignment like the rest of the cage but nevertheless it was easy enough. My girls happy and I will definitely purchase again if another addition ever comes into the family. (I purchased the 5x2x2 enclosure with no light fixture cutouts.)
It was so easy to put together and it is just beautiful! The team was so helpful in answering my questions and giving me ordering guidance. I love it! The tank is a little empty right now, but I’ve got some foliage and a RHP coming in for my sweet BP soon!
This is my second Kages enclosure as my Tegu has the 8X4X4 and I am so happy with them both. The customer service is top notch and the enclosures are beautiful. My reptiles and I are customers for life.
Awesome enclosure for my Ball Python. She really enjoys the extra space and loves to explore the enclosure at night. This enclosure holds the heat and humidity levels very well. It was also simple to put together. When I get another snake I will definitely be buying another Kages Enclosure.

We love the 5x2x2 reptile enclosure for our ball python. The enclosure came free of damage and was easy to install. "Bandit" loves his new cage!! We opted for 2 screen sections on the top for versatility in case we want to change configurations of the environment in the future. In the meantime, we covered one side of the enclosure screen with vent tape.

This wasn't a difficult choice, after reading the comments about customer service reviews how awesome they are. My kage enclosure arrived damaged I sent email on Sunday and got a quick response same day .I had route protection, kages didn't wait for the processing from Route
kages emailed me saying they're going to ship my new enclosure pieces while Route protection finish processing my claim. Now the enclosure. It's Amazing it took less then 2hrs. I love it and so does Aries.😁

This is the perfect upgrade four my four year old corn snake! She is able to completely stretch out and have extra room. The height allows for some taller decor for her to climb on.
It was fairly easy to construct with the aid of the provided instructions. All the pieces fit together exactly.
The enclosure is very secure. It is escape proof.
It looks so professional it could belong in a zoo or a nature center.

The pieces fit together, however there are gaps between pieces, especially the sliding doors. However it works and keeps my snake happy and healthy.

Worth every penny
These guys make the best enclosures I bought the 5x2x2 with the 4" substrate board and my 5.5 foot growing black pine snake Athena absolutely loves this enclosure. The black makes snakes feel so secure! I'd recommend getting the glass doors or upgrading from the poly doors because the glass looks and cleans better along with being way more sturdy. Also for how huge this enclosure is it literally only weighs maybe 40lbs with glass doors!

I would like to think the guys from Kages For the awesome job they did for my bearded dragon habitat it is top of a line went together easy I would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a habitat for their lizards definitely look these guys up I will give them a 10 out of 10 stars

High quality and easy to assemble!
This is THE tank to get for a big beardie! My beardie is 24" long and he has plenty of room to run around or lounge about. The tank was easy to assemble, even without assistance. The quality and accuracy, regarding how the pieces fit, is incredible. You can tell that this is a company that really cares about what they are doing. Kages was an excellent partner in getting the the correct wattage lighting for the tank. as well. The tank seems pricey but the cost is well worth your little buddy's mental and physical health.

High quality, lightweight, and easy to assemble.
I needed a short-term larger enclosure for my young Savannah Monitor that was high quality and lightweight because I'm pending a long distance move across the country, and I really didn't want to lug a heavy 5+ foot box across with me. This fit the bill perfectly! I also had a few questions and customizations I needed, and the customer service I received was prompt and very accommodating. I will be upgrading him to larger, final enclosure once he outgrows this one (honestly, many would say he already has, but the logistics of the move wouldn't permit anything much larger as of yet) that fits his adult-sized needs a bit better, and I will definitely be a returning customer!

We placed our order and after about 13 days our cage came in. We were delighted to put it together and have everything safely kept. The cage itself is spectacular, no flaws, and it looks amazing. Nice enclosure - giving 3 stars because it came with screws missing (which made assembly difficult) and the heating element area only comes in 1 size (for which they sell a separate heater).

Great tank. We had to upgrade to a bigger tank for our python. This tank gives him plenty of room, holds the temperatures well, and retains humidity perfectly.

I ordered this enclosure 60" x 24" x 24" in 03/16/2019, and today 03/27/2019 it is here and completed. It's amazing. I followed the instruction sheet that came with it step by step. The panels are labelled and just follow instruction to line up the labels etc. Super easy. Also I found it's easier to communicate via facebook message because I get reply almost within minutes if not very quick. This is my first custom enclosure and turned out great. There was another company I thought about it, but they told me will take 12 weeks at least to ship. OMG, my tortoises can not wait that long. Five stars.
